Play-Based Approach
Our preschool has embraced a play-based approach where our children are encouraged to explore their environment.
Play-based learning provides opportunities for children to develop a sense of the world around them through inquiry, exploration, interaction, and problem solving. Children that attend play-based preschools gain valuable skills that prepare them for the K-12 education system which is focused on the very skills that play-based learning promotes.

Parent Involvement
At Dunbar Memorial Preschool, parents/caregivers are invited to volunteer in a variety of areas of the preschool’s daily operations. Parent volunteers help to make the preschool program successful for the children and teachers.
